Events

We organize public events at Howard University, around Washington, DC, and around the country and world that platform the work of people studying racism and those striving to eliminate racism. We particularly strive to platform Howard University faculty and students, the Institute’s leaders and staff, the Howard Fellows, the Institute’s researchers, and The Emancipator’s journalists and experts. The Institute cultivates communal spaces where ideas can be shared and inspiration can flow. 

Beginning again in 2027, the Institute will organize the annual National Antiracist Book Festival, to be held in Washington, DC.
